Interpreter of Songs
I am very excited about the new Linda Ronstadt album that just came out called Duets. I feel that this recording really shows every nuance of Linda’s eclectic style of singing.
Her vast love and knowledge of all musical genres is evident here. My personal favorite will always be her duets with Aaron Neville called “Don’t know much”, and yes that one is on the duets album too.
Andrew Gold like Linda came from a musical background in fact his father scored the music for many movies including the movie Exodus.
Andrew teamed up with Linda starting on the “Heart Like a Wheel” album.
He was the quintessential musician, sometimes playing all the instruments on a song and singing as well.

“She really doesn’t mind,” Asher says. “She’s totally grown-up about awards and that sort of thing. Her reaction is, ‘Thank you. That’s very nice.’ My reaction is, I always thought she should be in there. When certain people got in, before Linda, I was kind of outraged.
“I’ve been a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voter from the very beginning and I’ve been to all of [induction ceremonies], so my feeling is — right, being grown-up about them is important, but as long as there is such a thing as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Linda should bloody well be in it, and now she is,” he adds. “All is well in the world. I’m very glad she’s in.”

Health is the primary reason Linda Ronstadt will not be attending next week’s 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Brooklyn. But, the singer tells Billboard, she’s really not all that chuffed about missing it.
“I haven’t given it one thought, I have to say,” Ronstadt says. “It wasn’t anything I ever thought about. I never thought of myself as a rock’ n’ roll singer; I sang it, (but) it’s just one of the things I sang. I sang a lot of different stuff. I didn’t go the last two times I was nominated for a Grammy, either. I don’t have anything against it; you just don’t do things for those reasons. If you’re working for prizes, you’re in trouble. There’s nothing wrong with it. I don’t mind it. It’s just not anything I ever gave a thought to.”
Ronstadt added that she hasn’t spoken with anyone from the Rock Hall herself, quipping, “I don’t think they have my number.”
